The OpenGov Recognition of Excellence (RoE) Award 2023
The Digital Government Development Agency (DGA), led by its President and CEO Dr. Supot Tiarawut, with the cooperation of the Office of the Council of State, received the OpenGov Recognition of Excellence (RoE) Award 2023 retrieved from their project “Law Portal (https://law.go.th)”. The OpenGov RoE Award 2023 was awarded for projects related to innovation, integration of technology in operations, and flexibility to adapt to new initiatives.
The project also emphasized creating changes, focusing on equality and diversity, and also preparing for future developments. This award was presented by OpenGov Asia, an organization based in Singapore that promotes and honors projects focused on digital transformation in both the public and private sectors. The award ceremony was held during the 5th Annual Thailand OpenGov Leadership Event on October 5, 2023, at the Erawan Hotel, Bangkok.
In the morning session, Dr. Supot Tiarawut, DGA President & CEO, provided a lecture on the topic “Thailand 4.0: Nurturing Digital Innovation and Knowledge-Based Economy.” For the afternoon session, during the award ceremony, the “Law Portal”, a project under the collaboration between DGA and the Office of the Council of State, was awarded the OpenGov Recognition of Excellence (RoE) Award 2023. Moreover, Mr. Suphatcharin Kingkaew, the Vice President of the Digital Exchange Platform Department at DGA, represented the agency in receiving the award alongside representatives from the Office of the Council of State.
Additionally, the event recognized various public and private sector organizations, such as the SME ONE ID system from the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP), with awards for their digital innovations.
