DGA moves forward in collaboration with the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM) to integrate the iDEMS service into the “Thang Rath” application, increasing emergency response channels to ensure critical emergency patients receive timely medical attention.

The National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM), in collaboration with the Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization) or DGA, held a press conference to announce their cooperation on “Promoting, Supporting, and Integrating the Development of the Emergency Medical Information System.” The event was presided over by Air Vice Marshal Atchariya Paengma, Secretary-General of NIEM, and Mrs. Airada Luangvilai, DGA Senior Executive Vice President and Acting President & CEO.
The ceremony marked the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to connect data via the “Thang Rath” application platform to support and elevate the integration of emergency medical information systems. The ceremony was held on December 11, 2024, at the National Institute for Emergency Medicine.

Air Vice Marshal Atchariya Paengma stated that the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM) has set a key goal for this year to develop emergency medical services through digital transformation using the iDEMS (Intelligence Digital Emergency Medical Services) platform. Recognizing the importance of expanding access, NIEM aims to allow the public and emergency patients to connect to emergency medical services more easily via the “Thang Rath” application.
This collaboration is intended to increase precision, speed, accuracy, completeness, and ensure modern, secure service delivery. It ultimately supports the core objectives of emergency medical care including reducing death and disability rates among out-of-hospital emergency cases, increasing the rate of access and critical emergency assistance within 8 minutes at the incident scene, and expanding public access to emergency medical services.
This partnership will greatly benefit the public and emergency patients by offering wider access to critical care services, made possible through the signing of the MoU to promote, support, and integrate the development of emergency medical information systems.

Ms. Airada stated that DGA is accelerating efforts to expand collaboration with all government agencies to increase the range of services available on the “Thang Rath” super app., aiming for more comprehensive coverage in all dimensions. The purpose is to make the app a centralized hub for essential public services, enabling citizens to access government services through a single, simple, and complete channel suitable for all age groups.
Currently, the app features over 172 government services, has been downloaded more than 38 million times, and sees an average of over 500,000 users per day. This recent collaboration with the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM) represents a significant step in expanding health-related services on the app — such as checking healthcare entitlements and using the 30-baht universal healthcare scheme at any hospital.
Mrs. Airada invites the public to download the “Thang Rath” app as a personal assistant for using government services via Play Store, App Store, or Huawei, or to learn more at the official website: ทางรัฐ.com.
